Lyrics: Broken (Elisa)
These days I'm totally in love with the album "Lotus" by Elisa. It's a concept album where she both chose some of her favourite songs by other artists and some of her favourite songs from her catalogue to interprete acoustically. What came out are beautiful versions of songs like "Rock Your Soul", "Gift" or "Labyrinth", and "Femme Fatale" (Lou Reed), "Hallelujah" (Leonard Cohen), etc etc ;). Besides those, she also included this new song, "Broken". At this very moment, the song has so much truth and connection, it's stunning.

Especially the part with "I'd like to be one of those colorful early summer days..." has been one of my favourites lines from a song ever because it expresses so much of this wish of us: to be loved. But first you have to do something for it, you have to give - coz you always get what you give in the end. Ah I simply love this song (and album) XD!
