What happened to Spring? Last month we had snow and now its so freaking hot we are sitting here like a bunch of slugs just looking at the ceiling!I am trying hard not to turn on the AC-I think I will go get a celing fan for the bedroom though- I love my light fixture now-its perfect,matches the iron bed and everything but with the bedroom being so big and at one end of the house it seems like the hot air congregates in there from the rest of the house!There are windows on only wall so there isn't a cross breeze either.I saw a great fan at Lowes the other day-I should buy it for Mark for Fathers day since its something i want-hahahah!
Last day of school today-yippee!!!! I love having the girls home and jillian is going to work in the store for some spending $$-I'll have her come out during the afternoon slump-she can sit and read while i can get some laundry or gardening done-just get out of there for awhile.Monday and Wed, from 1:30 -4:00 are so dead! fridays are iffy-I think i am changing my friday hours to 2:00-7:00-get some evening hours in for the people who work.
My parents closed on their new house but they won't be moving for awhile-they haven't sold their house yet plus they want to get the place cleaned really good(thank God i don't have to clean!!!) and they want it freshly painted. they also decided they wanted new carpet in a couple of the rooms.My dad has hinted that my Mom has been a bear to live with lately...i don't know if she is nervous about their house not selling or is just reacting to this upheaval in her life-she has complained of being sore all the time and can't figure out why-well geez mom-look at all the cleaning and packing and gardening you've been doing lately!!She is 66 yrs old-she has to expect not to be able to work like she used to.I also know she is depressed but she doesn't want to take anything for it.
Ok I need to get to the bank for dollar bills for the cash register and hopefully I can make it to the post office to drop off a package for my new art sister!!
