Well today was kinda interesting. I was supposed to be in nursery at church all morning. But I asked Katie to sit in there so I could go to Sunday School. Tom has started a new class and I really wanted to be in there. He is doing a class on worship and I feel like I really need to learn how to do it the correct way

I think that you should ask the questions. Who cares what people think? You want answers- you've gotta ask the questions. It was Gen that said that about friends and worshipping. I think it is both and I think that God honors relationships (friendships) that are centered around him. I also think however, that if people are the main reason, then it is not the right reason. Does that make sense?

As for going to a different church, I do not believe in "church hopping" but I do think that you need to be worshipping in a place that allows you to do so without distractions. I think you can do that here, if you don't get caught up in the "crap." (I get caught up in the people "crap" and it sometimes gets in the way of my worship. Sometimes during praise team time, I have to close my eyes and get my focus off of the people.) If you cannot let things go, then I agree with Lauren and you should find somewhere else. But, I'd hate to see you leave. I think that like I said on Sunday, Church people are like family: you love them more than anything, but they also make you crazy! Plus, right now, church is a connection that Katie has with you, I'd hate for her to lose that.
