Kiddie Games
"Alfred F. Jones is about to make his death-defying jump. The whole world is watching. England is crying pathetically, unable to contain his jealousy. The crowd is on the edge of their seats. Can Jones survive such a daring act? One can only imagine what is going through the handsome hero's head at this moment."

America was standing at the top of a yellow plastic slide, blocking the line of irritated middle-schoolers behind him.

"Heyyyy. You're hogging the slide. Just GO already!" a freckled little boy whined from the back of the line.

"You're throwing off my concentration, kid. Do you know how intense this moment is for me? I could die." America gestured dramatically at the ground, which was a terrifying three feet below them.

"You're weird," the boy said. America chose to ignore him.

"Alright, baby. I'm bringing home the gold!" he said, taking a few steps back for a running start. He flung himself down the slide head first, crashing into the pile of leaves he'd spent an hour building at the bottom. It was so worth it until- "Ow. Hey!" He'd expected the soft leaves to break his impact, but this wasn't right.... He dug deep into the pile until he found the thing he'd landed on.

"Hello, Alfred. It is a pleasant surprise meeting you here." Russia smiled innocently up at him from his hiding place. Only his face was visible.

"You creepy bastard! How long have you been hiding out in my leaf pile?"

"Just long enough to hear your little speech." Russia giggled.

"That's- I was... practicing. Speaking in front of an audience," America defended.

"Do you usually have such an impressive turnout?" Russia peeked around the playground, smiling as a toddler waddled by them.

"I'm reaching out to the public. Something you wouldn't understand. And what the hell are you doing here anyway?"

"I came to play."

"WAH-"

With one swift move, Russia flipped America underneath him, burying them both deep beneath the leaves. He pressed a kiss into America's neck, amused by how the younger nation suddenly tensed up.

"I could throw you off of me, no problem. You'd hit the pavement on the other side of town." America didn't sound as confident as he should have. He'd closed his eyes tight, his face turning a hot red.

"Nyet," Russia purred. "I know you won't."

America squirmed as Russia pecked kisses all over him, but he didn't fight back. "Listen, Ivan. I... I- ACHOO!"

"............Alfred. Do you, perhaps, have allergies?"

"Uh. Sorry about that."

Russia slowly lifted an end of his scarf to his cheek to wipe off the spray of spit that had hit him in the face at full force. "It is okay. Perhaps we should continue this in a different location?"

"Yeah," America grinned, still blushing. "I'd like that."

"GERONIMOOOO!"

"AGH-!" Russia and America yelped in unison as the short, freckled boy crashed into them on his trip down the slide.

"Ah. The children are so charming at your place." Russia stood up, clenching his faucet a little tighter at his side.

"ACHOO. Ugh. Let's just get out of here," America said, swiping at his nose with his sleeve.

"Da. We will test the hero's love of flirting with danger," Russia said. The smirk he wore chilled America in a way the autumn air never could.
