(no subject)
Any negative feeling that I've had for like the past month was sweated out of me last night. They played my favorite album, Goddamnit, in it's entirety. They played an acoustic set. They played my all-time favorite song, While You're Waiting, and many other unreleased songs that I knew every single fucking word to. They only played 2 songs off the new album, everything else was older or off of comps and splits. THey played for 2 hours. I was probably 15 feet away from Matt and Dan and locked eyes with both several times and got smiled at because oh Lord was I smiling at them. I'm definitely in love and I don't care what anybody says about Alkaline Trio. They amaze me and no matter what feeling or experience I ever feel, there's a Trio song to match and they've helped me out of a lot of holes. I also got Matt's autograph outside.
Against Me! was awesome too. They played for 45 minutes and talked for about 2 of them. Their drummer did a stage dive and I got to carry him. It was the sweatiest, grossest, most awesome 5 seconds.
All in all, I don't know if I've ever felt happier. I just can't get over how amazing it was. I want so bad to be up on that stage doing what they do and touching kids like me with music. I know it's going to happen. IT can't not with the amount of passion, inspiration, and drive that I have for this. It's all a matter of time, I guess.
Basically, to sum up last night in one word, it'd be: Wow.
