date with God #2

i met a Malay man on the bridge crossing the Singapore River when i was out with God. he asked me for money because he was hungry. i pointed to the ice cream stand ahead and said i'll buy him an ice cream. haha. he refused, he said i could get change at the ice cream stand and give it to him. after i bought myself an ice cream, i walked back to where he was, leaning against a pillar. i told him i can't give him money, but i can buy him a meal at macs. he said he cldn't eat ice cream because it hurt his teeth, and he cldn't eat macs, he wanted malay food. i said okay, then let's go get malay food.

"no, its very far away lah. nvm"

i insisted that there musttt be malay food closer. helo, we're in Singapore. haha but he insisted right back at me.. so i walked away with God, wondering what i was supposed to have done... it felt like i had just escaped being conned of money coz he didn't seem to be that hungry afterall.

in His word He said 'what you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me". how does that work in this situation? is there a qualification or a different meaning to "my brothers"?

He gave me an answer i'm finding hard to accept... maybe when i understand better i will share it (:
