help me with my computer problems

ok so for some reason even tho ive known about torrents for litterally years and all my friends use it and ive heard lots of shit about it being safer and whatnot, ive still never goten it cause i have kazaa and its pretty simple and its never given me any (significant) problems. i didnt want to take the time to learn something new and as of late i havent been useing any downloading device (or doing much of anything illegal), but tk convinced me to get it. i cant stress enough how pissed off i am. tk gave me little walkthru on my dads computer so i kno how it works, but it doesnt download anything, pretty much at all. after haveing it on for 10 hours it got about 96kb with about 10,000+ seeds. so it doesnt work. then i realized i probably want it all on my laptop cuause i dont want my dads computer getting messed up from viruses or whatnot even tho tk says its safer, i still dont trust fileshareing. wow that was a lot more long winded than intended it to be considering all i really wanted to say was i put it on my laptop and got one movie....and now all of a sudden i cant watch any movies. i watched various parts of the the movie i downloaded skipping thru and it all worked, but i dont kno any of the plot or anything cuase i just wanted to make sure it al worked lol, first thing u get is exciteing. i started running out of room soi went thru the folders in my programs and started deleteing stuff, stuff that i either recognized or knew i didnt need or folders with nothing it just so its easier to navagate my computer. but then i tried later on and i couldnt watch it. as a matter of fact i couldnt watch the movies i already had on my laptop. i had watched 8 episodes of bleach on here several weeks ago and there was nothing wrong with the player. now it says it doesnt recognize the format of the files. suggesting they were corrupted, but i dont see how it was able to read them just earlier that day. so i figured it was something going on with windows media player, so i stayed up till 3am downloading this and that files. nothing worked. the one that got closest was like Irafile or something like that, which had sound but no video which defeats the perpose. so within 6 hours of haveing torrent im more pissed off than most other times with a computer. but thats not all, i sent over the files to my dads computer and his wont play them either, plus it will only play half the venture bros nick put on there which really pissed me off, and i dont thinik it will play the avatar he put on there which is funny cause every time i see him he keeps asking if i watched and tghe answer is obviously no i still have to finish watching my ther shows first. but now i have another excuse lol. anyway i guess the reason for posting this long ass entry that takes up twice as much space as i wanted it to is to ask if anyone knows whats going on please tell me, or tell me what u think is going on. i dont want to jump to conculsions and assume that something is infecting my computer, i think its not the video player that has a problem its the files themselves because that would explane why they dont work on my dads computer, but if its the files then i would wantto assume they are corrupted cause theres no reason one of them should effect all the other files on this computer and that, and my deleteing a bunch of files shouldnt cause individual files not to work. so god damnit

i got a snowboard and bindings yesterday for 250$, i dont like the graphic but o well. i can still return it if i feel like i can get a better deal on ebay or find a similar deal and a cooler graphic lol. i havent looked so far but o well lol who knows maby i will son
