Summary : They are like two different elements, one is the water and the other one is the earth. Totally different but they complete each other, just like yin and yang.
Kangin is walking down the street after he came home from school when suddenly he heard someone is crying. He frowned when he saw a boy sitting in front of a house, crying and buried his face between his knees. Kangin keep on walking but after a few steps, he stopped. He felt pity to that boy, as the oldest child in the family, Kangin always doing his role very well. Outside, he might well known as a bully but for his little brothers, he is a perfect hyung. And that boy reminds him of his younger brother.
"Hey, are you hurt or something? Why are you crying?"
The boy lift his head, his eyes were puffy and red "U..mma..when..I came..home, umma..wasn't here.." and that boy begin to cry again.
Kangin sighed. He sit next to that boy and pat his shoulder to calm him down "Sssshhh, don't cry. Maybe your umma have to do something important. I'm sure she'll be back soon." The boy sobbing hard "But..I'm scared..what if..she's..not coming..back?"
"Of course she will be back. Now stop crying, I'll stay here with you until your umma come home, okay?" said Kangin as he use his thumb to wipe the tears off that boy's cheek. The boy sniffled, looked at Kangin and finally nodded.
"That's better. My name is Kangin. And what's your name?"
"Sungmin."
"I thought I saw you once or twice at school. How old are you? Seven?" Kangin asked curiously. Sungmin shook his head "I'm nine years old." "It means you are my dongsaeng. I'm ten years old" Kangin replied.
"Are you hungry?" Kangin asked and smiled when he saw Sungmin nodded. He grab something in his bag "Here, you can eat this." Kangin gave a chocolate bread to Sungmin.
Sungmin looking at Kangin with confused look. "Go on, take it.." "Uhmm..but we share it, okay?" replied Sungmin. "I'm not hungry so you can have it all. And you're so thin, you should eat more" Kangin answered. "Thank you, hyung" Sungmin mumbled.
They talked about school and stuff until Sungmin's mom arrived twenty minutes later. "Ummaaa! I was so scared.." Sungmin hugging his mom tightly. "I'm sorry, honey. Your appa forgot his important documents so he asked me to bring them to his office. I thought I can be home before your school finished but the train was late" his mom explained as she strokes Sungmin's hair gently. Sungmin is pouting now "I'm glad that Kangin hyung is here with me otherwise I would cry the whole time." Sungmin's mom looking at Kangin as she smiled and say "Thank you very much, Kangin. I hope Minnie didn't bother you too much." Kangin bowed and replied "You're welcome, aunty. It's alright, Sungmin is a good kid."

The next day, Sungmin is standing outside Kangin's classroom, waiting for him to come. Big smile plastered on his face when he saw Kangin. "Hyung! Kangin hyung!" Kangin looked around and surprised to see Sungmin there. "Sungmin? What are you doing here?" asked Kangin clueless. "For you!" replied Sungmin happily as he handed him a bottle of chocolate milk. "Huh? Why?" Kangin accept the milk with confused look on his face. "I thought you might like chocolate milk because yesterday you have a chocolate bread. The one you gave me, remember?" Sungmin explained. "Ah! Right! Now I remember. But actually that bread was for my little brother, he likes chocolate. I don't" Kangin replied with a plain tone. Sungmin's wide smile is disappear now "Oh..I thought.." he bite his lips, feeling silly and disappointed.
Kangin noticed the sudden change on Sungmin's expression. "But you know, today is very hot and I feel thirsty all the time so I'm glad you're giving me this chocolate milk. I will drink it now!" without any hesitate Kangin opened the bottle and drink it. He stopped for a minute and asked "You want some?" Sungmin shook his head as he happily watching Kangin drink the chocolate milk. Kangin finished the milk and wipe his mouth with the back of his hand. "Thanks, Sungmin!" Sungmin smiled and say "You're welcome, hyung. I have to go now. Bye!" he run to his own classroom.
Shindong, a friend of Kangin, witnessed the whole scene and asked "Since when do you like to drink chocolate milk?" Kangin groaned "Eeeewww!! I never like chocolate milk! But I was afraid that kid is going to cry if I said I won't drink it!" Shindong laughing hard now, making Kangin grunted.

Few days later, Kangin was about to go home when he saw Sungmin walking wobbly at the school yard. "Sungmin, what happened to your foot?" asked Kangin, feeling a bit worry. "Little accident in the gym class..my ankle is sprained" Sungmin replied weakly. "Aish! How's that possible?! You gotta be more careful next time, arasso?" Sungmin nodded. "Now climb on my back" Kangin said in a firm tone. "What? Climb on your back?" Sungmin mumbled, not sure if he heard it right.
"Yes. I'll carry you on my back because if you keep on walking, it will getting worse. Now, hurry up!" Kangin said impatiently. Sungmin obediently do as he told. "Thank you, hyung. I wish I really have a hyung like you.." Sungmin whispered as he holding on Kangin's body. "Then he'll be in trouble to have such a careless dongsaeng like you" Kangin held back his laughter, didn't want Sungmin to know that he was just joking.
"I know..I'm so clumsy and such a crybaby. Maybe that's why I became the only child.." Sungmin replied with a sad tone. "Yah! What are you talking about? I'm just kidding, alright? It was an accident so don't worry, you'll be fine" Kangin felt pity for this kid, especially when he knew that Sungmin is the only child so he have no hyung to defend or guide him. He heard that some kids at school bullying Sungmin and called him names, like 'sissy' or 'mommy's boy' and something like that. To be honest, Sungmin looks more like a girl than a boy. His face, his voice, his style and his love for pink color..everything! But hey, what's wrong with that? Everybody is unique, right?
"Sungmin, is that true that some kids bullying you at school?" Kangin asked. Sungmin sighed "Yes hyung, it's true." "Why didn't you fight them back? Or at least do something to make them stop bullying you!" Kangin asked, feeling annoyed by those kids.
Sungmin's voice became hoarse now "But hyung..what can I do? I told the teacher and those kids got warnings but that's all. After some time, they were bullying me again. How am I supposed to fight them back? They are much stronger than me and they'll beat me if I talk to the principal.."
Kangin decided that he must do something about it. "Listen, if those kids bullying you again, tell them they're going to get a problem from me, arasso?" Sungmin gasped in surprise "Really, hyung? Are you serious? I can say that to them? Whoa! That's awesome!" As one of the strongest kid at school, Kangin has no fear to nobody. He's not a troublemaker but he won't hesitate to fight anyone who challenge him. And he always wins. So the students have big respect to Kangin and no one wants to have problem with him.

Since that day, Kangin and Sungmin became close friends. They are not always together at school but they always walking home together. And nobody dares to bully Sungmin anymore.
"Minnie, hurry up! It's getting rainy!" Kangin said when he saw the latter is still busy fiddling with his jacket. "Wait hyung..the zippers..it's stuck!" Sungmin replied. "Aish!" Kangin grunted as he grab the zippers of Sungmin's jacket and fix it easily. Sungmin blushed shyly and mumbled 'thank you'. Kangin grinned as he ruffled Sungmin's hair "What would you do without me, dongsaeng-ie??" Sungmin giggles, pinched Kangin's cheek and run away. Kangin laughed as he ran after Sungmin.
Eventhough both of them have different characters but they can get along very well. Sungmin is always able to soothe Kangin when he's angry or having a bad day. And because of Kangin, Sungmin have more courage and self confidence.
Years gone by and they're in senior high school now. Nothing is change in their friendship until one day Sungmin barged into Kangin's bedroom and jumped on him. "Hyung! Hyung, wake up!" Kangin jolt in surprise, he hate it when someone bother his sleep but he could never really angry to Sungmin, "Aish! Are you crazy?! What happened?" Kangin asked as he buried his face in the pillow.
"You're not gonna believe this, hyung!" Sungmin replied cheerfully. "Try me" Kangin lazily answered. Sungmin shifted next to Kangin as he say "Last night, Kyuhyun confessed to me! He asked me if I want to be his lover! Kyaaaaaaaaa! Can you believe that?!" Suddenly Kangin changed his position and sit right in front of Sungmin. "He did what?" Kangin asked, slight of jealousy creeping in his heart now. Sungmin smiled "Kyuhyun asked me if I want to be his lover and I said yes." Kangin startled, "But..but, are you really in love with him? I mean, is he a good boy and how long did you know him and..and.." Sungmin hold both of Kangin's hands as he say "Hyung, it's alright. Please don't worry. I'm almost sixteen now, not a little boy anymore."
Kangin sighed, he didn't know what to say. He is happy if Sungmin is happy but why did he feel sad and jealous now.. "Hyung? Are you alright? Please say something" Sungmin waving his hand in front of Kangin's face. His blank expression made Sungmin worry. "Huh? Oh, well..uhmm, yeah..I guess it's alright then" Kangin give a simple answer. "Really? Are you worry about me?" Kangin nodded "Yes, Minnie. Honestly, I'm worry if he'll treat you nice or not but if he don't, then I'll punch his face. Simple, right?" Sungmin chuckled "I knew you'll say that, hyung. Thank you for always taking good care of me. You are my best friend and my best hyung, everything in one package!" They both laughed and Kangin felt pain in his heart. Only best friend and hyung? Can't I be more than that for you?
"Minnie, read this" Kangin said as he handed Sungmin a piece of paper. "What is this, hyung?" Sungmin asked curiously. "Just read it" Kangin replied as he grab a bottle of water on his desk and drink it.
"Wow! Leeteuk asked you to be his lover? Aigoooo! Congratulations, hyung!" Sungmin clapped his hand cheerfully. "Aish! I haven't give him the answer, silly!" Kangin grunted. Sungmin gasped "Omo! Look at the date he sent you this letter, it was two weeks ago! And you haven't.. Tsskk! Poor Leeteuk.." Kangin grinned "So what? If he really love me then he'll wait for me. If not, no problem!" Just like I will wait for you, Minnie.
Of course the reason that keeping Kangin from giving the answer to Leeteuk is Sungmin. Kangin was thinking about telling Sungmin his feelings for him but he's afraid if Sungmin reject it. And it will automatically affect their friendship. But now it's too late. Sungmin belongs to Kyuhyun now and Kangin secretly cursing himself.
So he decided to accept Leeteuk as his boyfriend, hoping that this relationship will be able to erase his feelings for Sungmin.

Few months later, Kangin called Sungmin and asked him to meet each other. They were sitting in a café, Sungmin is busy munching his blueberry muffin meanwhile Kangin is drinking his hot cappuccino. "Kangin hyung, you sounds very serious on the phone. What happened?" asked Sungmin after he took a sip of his favorite bubble tea.
Kangin sighed "Minnie, I wanna tell you that I'm moving to Australia with my family. My father must stay there for his work so it means we have to live there too." Sungmin gaped in disbelief "Wh..what? Are you kidding me?" Kangin shook his head. Sungmin's eyes begin to teary now "Hyung.." he bite his lips, trying to hold his tears "Hyung, it means we can't meet each other anymore?" asked Sungmin with trembling voice, makes Kangin feel more miserable. "Of course we can meet each other again, Minnie..but I don't know when" Kangin replied with hoarse voice.
"Well, I guess Leeteuk also feels very sad now.." Sungmin said with a bitter smile. Kangin shrugged "I haven't told him." Sungmin frowned "You haven't told him yet, hyung?" Kangin shook his head as he replied "To me, you're more important. That's why I told you first. You are my best friend and my best dongsaeng, everything in one package. Remember?" Sungmin chuckled and cry at the same time.
"Minnie, listen to me. I won't be here to protect you anymore so you have to be able to protect yourself, okay? I'm begging you, please join the martial arts. Please do that for me, that way I will feel more secure to leave you here.." Kangin is holding Sungmin's hand as he continued "Look, I know you have a boyfriend but I want you to be a strong man. So please, will you do that for me?" Sungmin sobbing softly as he nodded his head. "Thank you" Kangin muttered.
Kangin lifted Sungmin's chin to meet his eyes "The first time I met you, you were crying" he wiped the tears off Sungmin's cheek with his thumb "And now, when I see you for the last time, you're also crying. What a coincidence, right?" Sungmin sniffled "Hyung..I'm..very sad.." "Me too, Minnie. I hate this but I can't do anything. But we will keep in touch, alright? I'm sure someday we will meet each other again."

He missed Kangin, they had contact in the first year after he move to Australia but after that, it stopped because both of them were busy with their own activities. It seems that everything vanished like the melting snow.
Suddenly someone grabbed him from behind and without any hesitate, the well-trained Sungmin use his elbow to hit the stomach of the attacker as hard as he could. Before he could see the attacker, he heard a familiar voice "Whoa! Very good, Minnie! I'm proud of you!" Sungmin turned his body and stared in disbelief, his eyes and mouth are wide open. "Hey, close your mouth otherwise a fly will come in" Kangin teased him and chuckled.
"Kangin hyung!!" Sungmin hugged his precious Kangin wholeheartedly. Both of them laughed in happiness. "Oh my God! Hyung, when did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me that you're coming?" Sungmin asked happily. "Then it won't be a surprise anymore. You look good, Minnie! And you really join the martial arts, huh?" Kangin asked, secretly admiring Sungmin who look even more beautiful now. I'm still in love with him, he thought.
"Yup! I listen to you, hyung. And look at you now, you're so tall and wow..those muscles! Macho!" Sungmin said as he touch Kangin's arms and his muscular chest, making Kangin blushed a little bit. "Well, that's us, right? The beauty and the macho" Kangin replied and winked his eyes. Sungmin giggles as he nodded his head "Yes, you're right, hyung. We are the beauty and the macho. So how long will you stay in Korea?" Kangin smiled "Forever. We're back to Korea now."
Sungmin squealed in delight "It's like a dream come true! Have you told Leeteuk about this good news?" Kangin shook his head and replied "No, it's not necessary. We broke up long time ago. And how about you? Are you still with Kyuhyun?" Oh God, please let the answer be 'no'.
"No. We broke up almost two years ago." Yes! "Really? Why?" Kangin asked curiously. Sungmin sighed "Well, it seems that I'm the one who always giving affection and everything meanwhile he never seems to care. He always forgot my birthday and our anniversary. I gave him enough chance to change his attitude but it's useless. So I'm better off alone" Sungmin replied in a plain tone.
"Tssk! I knew it! Such a jerk! And now, do you have a boyfriend?" Kangin almost bounced happily when he saw Sungmin shook his head. "Minnie, do you want to go to Lotte World with me tomorrow? It's gonna be fun!" Sungmin clapped his hands joyfully "To the Lotte World? Sure! But promise me we are going to the Magic Castle too, okay?"
Kangin laughed "Okay. But promise me that you're going to sit next to me in the Atlantis Adventure and not only waiting outside, alright?" Sungmin giggles as he nodded his head "Alright! It's a deal then!"
"No, it's not!"

Of course the reason that keeping Kangin from giving the answer to Leeteuk is Sungmin. Kangin was thinking about telling Sungmin his feelings for him but he's afraid if Sungmin reject it. Few months later, Kangin called Sungmin and asked him to meet each other. They were sitting in a café, Sungmin is busy munching his blueberry muffin meanwhile Kangin is drinking his hot cappuccino. "Kangin hyung, you sounds very serious on the phone. What happened?" asked Sungmin after he took a sip of his favorite bubble tea.
Kangin sighed "Minnie, I wanna tell you that I'm moving to Australia with my family. My father must stay there for his work so it means we have to live there too." Sungmin gaped in disbelief "Wh..what? Are you kidding me?" Kangin shook his head. Sungmin's eyes begin to teary now "Hyung.." he bite his lips, trying to hold his tears "Hyung, it means we can't meet each other anymore?" asked Sungmin with trembling voice, makes Kangin feel more miserable. "Of course we can meet each other again, Minnie..but I don't know when" Kangin replied with hoarse voice.
"Well, I guess Leeteuk also feels very sad now.." Sungmin said with a bitter smile. Kangin shrugged "I haven't told him." Sungmin frowned "You haven't told him yet, hyung?" Kangin shook his head as he replied "To me, you're more important. That's why I told you first. You are my best friend and my best dongsaeng, everything in one package. Remember?" Sungmin chuckled and cry at the same time.
"Minnie, listen to me. I won't be here to protect you anymore so you have to be able to protect yourself, okay? I'm begging you, please join the martial arts. Please do that for me, that way I will feel more secure to leave you here.." Kangin is holding Sungmin's hand as he continued "Look, I know you have a boyfriend but I want you to be a strong man. So please, will you do that for me?" Sungmin sobbing softly as he nodded his head. "Thank you" Kangin muttered.
Kangin lifted Sungmin's chin to meet his eyes "The first time I met you, you were crying" he wiped the tears off Sungmin's cheek with his thumb "And now, when I see you for the last time, you're also crying. What a coincidence, right?" Sungmin sniffled "Hyung..I'm..very sad.." "Me too, Minnie. I hate this but I can't do anything. But we will keep in touch, alright? I'm sure someday we will meet each other again."

Four years later, Sungmin is walking home after his part time job at the cinema. He's tired and his mind drifted to the past. He missed Kangin, they had contact in the first year after he move to Australia but after that, it stopped because both of them were busy with their own activities. It seems that everything vanished like the melting snow.
Suddenly someone grabbed him from behind and without any hesitate, the well-trained Sungmin use his elbow to hit the stomach of the attacker as hard as he could. Before he could see the attacker, he heard a familiar voice "Whoa! Very good, Minnie! I'm proud of you!" Sungmin turned his body and stared in disbelief, his eyes and mouth are wide open. "Hey, close your mouth otherwise a fly will come in" Kangin teased him and chuckled.
"Kangin hyung!!" Sungmin hugged his precious Kangin wholeheartedly. Both of them laughed in happiness. "Oh my God! Hyung, when did you arrive? Why didn't you tell me that you're coming?" Sungmin asked happily. "Then it won't be a surprise anymore. You look good, Minnie! And you really join the martial arts, huh?" Kangin asked, secretly admiring Sungmin who look even more beautiful now. I'm still in love with him, he thought.
"Yup! I listen to you, hyung. And look at you now, you're so tall and wow..those muscles! Macho!" Sungmin said as he touch Kangin's arms and his muscular chest, making Kangin blushed a little bit. "Well, that's us, right? The beauty and the macho" Kangin replied and winked his eyes. Sungmin giggles as he nodded his head "Yes, you're right, hyung. We are the beauty and the macho. So how long will you stay in Korea?" Kangin smiled "Forever. We're back to Korea now."
Sungmin squealed in delight "It's like a dream come true! Have you told Leeteuk about this good news?" Kangin shook his head and replied "No, it's not necessary. We broke up long time ago. And how about you? Are you still with Kyuhyun?" Oh God, please let the answer be 'no'.
"No. We broke up almost two years ago." Yes! "Really? Why?" Kangin asked curiously. Sungmin sighed "Well, it seems that I'm the one who always giving affection and everything meanwhile he never seems to care. He always forgot my birthday and our anniversary. I gave him enough chance to change his attitude but it's useless. So I'm better off alone" Sungmin replied in a plain tone.
"Tssk! I knew it! Such a jerk! And now, do you have a boyfriend?" Kangin almost bounced happily when he saw Sungmin shook his head. "Minnie, do you want to go to Lotte World with me tomorrow? It's gonna be fun!" Sungmin clapped his hands joyfully "To the Lotte World? Sure! But promise me we are going to the Magic Castle too, okay?"
Kangin laughed "Okay. But promise me that you're going to sit next to me in the Atlantis Adventure and not only waiting outside, alright?" Sungmin giggles as he nodded his head "Alright! It's a deal then!"
"No, it's not!"
"Eh? What do you mean, hyung?"
"It's not a deal, it's a date."
"I..uhmm..I like that idea.."
