I always sort of wondered why people have coccyx. I mean, we don't have tails, so why do we need a tail bone? At least we don't normally.

You know, the term coccyx comes originally from the Greek language and means "cuckoo", referring to the curved shape of a cuckoo's beak when viewed from the side. It's the last part of a human vertebra, but there is no evidence to suggest that we were ever meant to grow tails. Or actually had tails.

But I have one.

It's kinda nice, having a tail. Like an extra arm or something. Except I need to remember that I actually have one.
