I guess I haven't updated in like 5 years...sorry, if anyone still reads this thing. Hmm, what's new? Well, this weekend marks the end of an era...sadly, Chad and I no longer have any weddings to attend. So y'all better get engaged fast before we lose our motivation. Kidding. Dear god, take your time, our bank accounts need a vacation.
Speaking of bank accounts, how about Chad and I each replacing 2 tires in a week? Yes, folks, 4 tires in 4 days. YUCKIES. Also, some other random car stuff. The paint we bought for the bedroom was hideous, it will now be brownish. The color is actually pretty close to the Camel color commonly seen on Peacoats. That and box-tape, it's the color of box-tape, as Chad so brilliantly pointed out.
The partay is in 6 days. Y'all best be there. Email me for directions. I can't get ahold of Heather, though, so that makes me sad. It's like her phone's disconnected, which could very well be since I haven't talked to her in like 3 months.
We are getting a new kitten sometime during the week after our party. I have off that Wed-Fri and the whole next week to take care of it, so we figured that would be good. Plus, the one we are adopting is so tiny he needs at least a week to recover from his vaccinations he got last night. We met him yesterday. His name is Gomez (accent on the ez) but we're naming him Orion. I know, I know, I like Gomez too, but Aurora and Orion is too precious to pass up. He's 4-5 weeks old and he's about the size of a large fist. He's white and grey and probably a short-hair. He was confiscated at a psychiatrist's office because the family that brought him and his sister (she's half his size, poor thing) on the 2-hour bus ride to the office (why would you do that?) were torturing them in the waiting room. Well, the kids were. They were throwing them in the air and across the room and strangling them. So the office worker confiscated them. They were so malnourished that they couldn't take vaccines or shots and City Kitties (the organization we're adopting through) called the female Skeletor for a little while. She's apparently fat now, but seriously, it's sick cause she's still skin and bones. Poor kitties. But Orion is soooo cute and he's a little lap cat, but he's still active, too. We're excited.
Ok, I think that's about it. We're painting the bedroom right now, and Chad's doing the ceiling cause I'm too short even with a chair. We finished the kitched last weekend, so we're almost done! YAY!!!
