I've rediscovered (as I do every spring) that I hate winter.  I never realize what a wretched mood the cold and dakr put me in until there's warmth and light and then I feel like I'm goddamned fucking flying.  My moods are slightly more volatile, but usually in a good way-- I can't be in a bad mood for too long. So.  Got my computer back two weeks ago, after Apple had it for three and a half weeks fixing the trackpad and display. Well, apparently when they replaced the logic board (which is what was supposed to fix the trackpad), the one they put in decided that it hated me.  My computer started doing something called going into kernel panic, where my OS ( Read more... )

Conceptually, I hate doing things by halves.  I want to throw my whole self into whatever I'm doing so that I'm emotionally, physically, and mentally invested in everything I care about.  I want to live passionately. I want people to describe me with words like jubilant, shining, engaging, personable, eclectic, and fascinating.

So the whole point of Evan Almighty is that in order to change the world people need to commit random acts of kindness. Yeah, it's a dumb and cheesy message, rather true, but a horrible point for a movie in my opinion. It felt like random propaganda thrown in at the end.
