Summary: Cho Kyuhyun is a son of a rich and respectable family who never experience love. Until a destiny takes him to meet Lee Sungmin, a kind-hearted, independent, and humble girl who was raised at an orphanage. How does he feel when he find out that she actually can’t speak? Will he find the true love that he’s been looking for through that meeting?
Part 1: The First Love Heartbeats
Sungmin is currently baking a cake for the kids at the orphanage in the Christmas Eve. The maknae Jino is helping her with cheering her up and singing a Christmas song. Little Jino is still three years old, but his talent in singing could be seen since he was two. Sungmin decided to spend her Christmas with the kids, and bake a special cake for their Christmas gifts. She knew it’s the only thing that she can do for them. She knew she cannot give presents for each of them. But she believed there’s always a good person who loves to share things with these unfortunate kids, especially in special day like Christmas.
In fact, Sungmin is just an ordinary girl, losing her parents since she was six. It made little Sungmin had to live at this orphanage. But when she had finished her cooking and baking class, she was moving out and getting a job as a baker at a quite fancy restaurant at business district in Seoul, thanks to her hardwork and talent in culinary.
Cho Kyuhyun is the only son in Cho family. His father owns a five stars hotel in Seoul and Jeju Island. Because of that, after he graduated he became a General Manager at his father’s hotel in Seoul. Sometimes, he’s off to Jeju Island to check everything up, or just for a meeting with his staff. He is a very smart since he was still kid. He only took his middle and high school in four years after he joined the acceleration program. So, in 23 year old age, he already had his Master degree in business.
Kyuhyun spent most of his time with studying. He likes spending time in his room, reading, browsing, playing online games. It’s not that he’s an anti-social or something. Call him as introvert or nerd, but it is who he is. He likes quietness, peacefulness, but at the same time he also likes children’s laughter. Nobody knows that the rich, cold, and quiet guy like Kyuhyun also had a schedule to visit the unfortunate kids at the orphanage. Maybe he has a warm heart after all. He always remember that since he was a kid, his mother’s always been a regular donor. It’s like an obligation for him being born in a rich family to share something with them. He believe that human being exists for the sake of one another. That’s why he always tries to spend some times for them. But he did it because he like and enjoy being with them.
So, today in Christmas Eve, he decide to visit “Children of Heaven” Orphanage. It’s his second time visit that place. He, with the help of his assistant, had prepared a lot of presents for the kids as their Christmas gifts. He smiles as he think about the kids, they must be so happy with these presents.
He arrives there at 7 PM. When his car parks in front of the house, the kids notice it. They quickly shout and run happily to the car, “Kyuhyun-hyung! Kyuhyun-oppa!” Even though it’s only the second time he come there, they already got along well because he made a good impression by their first meeting.
“Hello, kids, how are you?” He greets all of them as they hug him one by one.
“We miss you, Hyung! Are you planning to spend Christmas Eve here with us?” One of them ask him enthusiastically. “Of course.” He simply answers.
“Yaaay! We have our oppa and unnie now! I’m gonna tell Teukie-umma then!” One of the girls runs inside. Kyuhyun just smile amusedly, not sure about who is unnie that she meant. “C’mon, kids, help me carrying these into the house, ne?” He asks as he open the compartment, earning screams from the kids.
Kyuhyun immediately greets and bows to Leeteuk, the mother of all the orphan kids. She is the owner, the one who is responsible to “Children of Heaven” Orphanage. “Good evening, Ma’am.”
“Good evening, Kyuhyun-sshi. Please come in. Ohh, i see you bring a lot of stuffs for the kids. They must be happy on Christmas day. Thank you for your attention, Kyuhyun-sshi.” Leeteuk says thankfully and motherly.
“It’s the least i can do. I’m grateful to see them happy.” He smiles shyly.
Meanwhile, Sungmin is still baking the cake as she slightly hears the kids’ shouts for something she doesn’t know. She just shrug it off, glancing at little Jino who’s currently drowning in the whipped cream. She can’t help but smile, and Jino notices it.
“Umma, this is gweat!” Jino exclaims happily. Yes, he always call her ‘umma’ from the moment he could speak. So, he has two umma, his Minnie-umma and Teukie-umma. Sungmin raises her thumbs up at him then ruffles his hair lovingly, smiling like an angel.
“Umma, i think someone’s coming. You hear that?” Jino asks cutely. Sungmin only nods and mouth ‘I think so’. “I’m going to see it, Umma. I will be back, okei?” with that, Jino runs to the living room. Not for so long, Sungmin hears him screaming incoherently. It seems whoever come, Jino likes that person. But Sungmin has no idea who’s coming.
“Umma, Umma! Appa is coming!” Jino get back to the kitchen in a bouncy state. Sungmin gestures him ‘Appa who?’
“Kyuhyun-appa! You don’t know now Jino have appa too? He is here, Umma!” Sungmin only reply him with a smile understandingly. Now she’s curious who is Appa that Jino talked about.

Kyuhyun and Leeteuk are still talking when Sungmin enter the living room with a double layer cake on her hand. The kids go wild immediately when they see it. Kyuhyun stop talking and pay his attention to the scene. He still can’t see who brings the cake. But he can see that Jino follow that person from behind while singing happily. When she places the cake on the dining table, Kyuhyun can finally see her. She seems not familiar to him. Leeteuk notice his curiosity.
“That’s one of my daughter, Lee Sungmin. She used to live here since she was six. But she’s now already moving out after she got a job. She always visit us here, helping me to maintain the kids and the orphanage. And she’s a talented baker.” Leeteuk explains proudly to Kyuhyun. He only nod his head and smile. Then he continue watching her being surrounded by the kids. He subconsciously smile to himself.
But his thought is interrupted by the sound of Jino’s chirp. “Appa, Appa! You see it? Umma make a cake for Jino and his hyungs and noonas!” Jino tugs Kyuhyun’s shirt cutely. Umma?
“Don’t be confused, Kyuhyun-sshi. Jino is the youngest here, and he is close with Sungmin from the moment he was here. She treats him like her own son. And Jino really loves her. She’s like a subtitute mother for him.” Leeteuk butts in, answering his unspoken question.
Sungmin can sense some stares from afar, watching her. She instinctively turns her gaze at the direction. There, she sees her umma, Jino, and a guy she doesn’t know. But when her eyes meet the latter’s, she can feel a thump in her heart. And she doesn’t even know why.
On the other hand, Kyuhyun continues watching what she’s doing. And when he meets her through the eyes, he can feel the urge to look away, but his heart refuse it. They practically stare at each other for some seconds. And Kyuhyun can feel his world spinning as he sees the most beautiful creature on earth, until his heart forgets to beat.

A/N: okay, this is the result when i'm bored and so eager to post something to my journal. I got the idea when i was sick, i was dreaming about a girl min with long hair and kyu sitting on the bench together without words. And then i woke up with that image. Soon, i typed it in few days, and i plan this as mini-series, maybe 3-5 parts :)
So.. actually, i've been keeping this fic for two months already, but i ended up abandoning it. And now, i decide to post this, with this i hope i can write the continuity as soon as possible. I am very responsible author LOL *dry laughs*
and as for "Take Me Away", i'm still working on it. I plan to post it this weekend, but the file is on my computer at my office, i forgot to email it because i typed it while working... such a big fail. I hope i can re-type it again, or at least i will update it on monday *prays hard*
