it's time for hibernation. i'll say hi to the bears for you.
i made a friend. in the form of a bee. it was on my windshield when i got out of work, so i let him stay. when i was driving fifty on the highway i asked him if he was having fun... he looked like he was having fun. i bet he's never gone fifty before. he stayed on my windshield when i got home, waiting for me to get back in my car because he loved me. death, love. it's all the same. he fell off somewhere in orange on my way to school the next morning. i'm convinced the whole not moving thing was just a desperate plea for attention. takes one to know one. we will meet again.

goliath and the bee
there's a map above my computer at work. it's the only thing that can get my mind far enough away from my job so that it feels somewhat content. so i've mapped out my future on it. the open roads. the small towns. the strangers eyes. the backwards street lights. the speeding tickets. the fire flies. the hunger. the cheap motels. the car seat that become a bed. the walks down unfamiliar streets. the ice cream shops. the attics. the empty pocket. the dissappointment. the excitement. the lonliness and the comfort. the homesick pay phone calls. the wondering how much of my life i've just fucked away. the god damn fulfillment.
