Mumbler!!! I Seriously Can't Understand a Word You're Saying!

Why is there such a long break in my godforsaken entries?!?!  How will I remember how I spent this two-week crux of my life, if I don't copy it down copiously in the e-tome of LiveJournal!?!?

Oh...I was rereading Harry Potter.  That's right.

But, let's start at the very beginning [re: a very good place to start].  Two Fridays ago, we celebrated Dustin's 21 year survival, and--to Murray's dismay--did not pick up our copies of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Puberty, and instead went barhopping.  We first headed out to a bar near Music Row, Tin Roof.  Now, call me a cheapskate, but I don't think its ethical to charge cover and then charge seven and a half dollars for a gin and tonic.  Excuse me!?  Are you growing the limes out of some Vandy girl's tweeter???  Anyhoo, after that, we went to Play, saw a drag show, Dustin forced me to dance, and I had a good time.  The next day, wasn't so pretty though, I woke up around noon to Athena trying to burst out of my skull.

By that night, though, Jason had finished the new Harry Potter, but instead of letting me read it, he immediately--literally going from page 684 back to page one--started rereading it.  So, sigharoo, I, myself, reread The Order of the Phoenix, spending its 800+ pages wanted to kick Potter in his orphaned nads.  But I finally started The Half-Blood Prince sometime before the weekend, and have found the boy far less pissy.  Attention stoners, I'm around page 420.  Woo.

I still haven't heard from any of the syndicates.  That probably means they're deep in deliberations.  Right?  Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight???

I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Jessie, and frankly--I'm gonna say it--I thought--don't try to stop me--that the new version--get over it--was-better-than-the-first-movie.  I was crying during the first thirty minutes.  What's wrong with me!?!!

I also saw Spielberg's War of the Worlds and was surprised by how much I liked it.  I was also surprised that the notorious Spielberg stayed as close to the book as he did.  Not to mention, Tom Cruise played a kind of dicky character, so I didn't feel like I was being forced to like that lunatic.

On the subject, I hear that some stores are selling "Run, Katie, Run" t-shirts.  If anyone's thinking ahead to Christmas...

I'm also heading up to Indiana on the fifth for Bethany's sister's wedding.  Ya nerrrrrrrvous?
