I came up with this because I was thinking, on my smoke break, "Why doesn't anyone else realize that she's technically a has-been? She shows all the signs! A pathetic reality show, lackluster CD sales...why does everyone act like she's still the shit??? ...If only there were some way I could prove it!"

And you're right, though, about the Roman Empire. I should have compared her to the Sumerians, and for that, I apologize.
