I'm back! for now...
Yeah, it's been even longer than usual since I've posted. And I don't even have a good excuse! Besides, ya know, being in Guam and all... but really that's not much of an excuse. :-P
So what have I been doing lately, since I've totally been neglecting to make "Guam update" pages or anything? Well, discounting boring stuff like work, let's start with the coolest part. Last month a few friends and I finally took scuba diving class! This past Sunday was my first "real" dive, and I promptly broke the rules of my diving certification, since we went down to 90 feet, instead of the official beginners' limit of 60! It was awesome though, and I'm really looking forward to April because I'm going to Palau, which is supposedly one of the best places in the world to go diving!
In other news, well... is there other news? Well of course, there's the latest chapter of the Chrystal and Andy soap opera! lol... well actually I'm happy to report that our relationship is doing really well, even if we aren't officially together. I seriously love her more than I ever have and I'm counting the days (58) until I get to go home and be with her again - in more ways than one hopefully. What will happen long-term, only God knows, but I can't imagine being without her, I love her so much. Unfortunately she's gone through some really hard stuff lately, so do say a prayer for her if you would.
Besides waiting for March to finish, I'm gonna be spending some time soon trying to figure out what I'm going to do this summer. I have an open invitation to work in Charlotte where I did for three summers before coming here, but since my grandparents don't live there any more, that would be a bit harder now. I applied to Oak Ridge Laboratory again, but this year I haven't even gotten a response. (Last year I got a response, but while I was in Europe on orchestra tour, so I missed it...) The option that appeals to me most would be working at school, because I know the people and systems there and all, and most importantly, I'd be really close to Chrystal! So I've e-mailed them to see if they would like my services this summer... we'll see what happens.
Anyways, I think that's about it for now! My next post WILL NOT take as long as this one did!! Actually I started to write one like a month ago, wrote about as much as I have posted here... and then accidentally closed the window while I was doing something else before I got it posted. And I didn't feel like typing it over. But this time I will not make the same mistake, because right now I'm gonna hit that little button that says "Update Journal"...
