Never a dull moment

This week has been a long one, and strange too since I have not taught my classes at Centara all week.
Monday I had to go back to the Dr to have my bandage changed and I did not get home, nauseated and faint from pain, we were supposed to leave 5 minutes ago and I needed to eat lunch. Roslen agreed to cover both classes since last Monday we did not have ANY students...plus the Dr told me I would have to come back on Tuesday and they would numb the area (around the hole in my leg) and cut open the wound to drain and dig out the infected tissue. You know things don't look good when the nurse in charge takes one look at your wound and goes to get the Dr. Lets just say that the ride home from the Dr.'s office was my lowest point--I cried...I may flatter myself that I have a high threshold for pain but I was felling defeated for sure. I hate missing my classes and this fall should have made for a good story to tell, a few bruises and some discomfort--not 3 weeks of medication, Dr. visits, ongoing pain and frustration.
So I texted my mom to tell her how my time at the Dr. went! Then Tuesday came, and a miracle happened--the infection had begun to come out. So no cutting! And when I came home my diploma had arrived...we have been waiting to secure my work permit and visa! It was amazing and such an encouragement.
Minnie has been sick all week! Then I woke up Wednesday buoyant after the good news of Tuesday, but my I ended up getting very sick with a migraine just after breakfast. Today came and I was excited to go to Centara and see my students, get back into the groove of things, but Phylla discovered that Roslen's work permit had expired on August 28th. His visa expires on the 9th of October and they usually expire around the same time. So he has been teaching with an expired work permit. He went to the labor department today and the penalties are a $5,000 Baht fine and up to 3 months in jail. These are the strictest punishments and it is entirely Roslen's fault, but please pray that things will go smoothly with the judge. The Director of the college has agreed to help him, and go with him to the labor department tomorrow morning. Also pray for the director's salvation, he is not a Christian but he is bonding with Roslen, and even coming to our school for classes.
So today has been an adventure! And I have to cross the border again on Saturday and travel to Bangkok next week for my work permit and visa.
Love to all!
