Back to Life, Back to Reality

Okey dokey then.

I’m tired. I finally woke up to a day with no pressing demands to it. I realized I am tired, very tired. The last month has been a constant push between business and personal, new and the mundane.

I’m behind on much and am surprised the house is as clean as it is. My car, well, that’s another story. I have chores to do, but the work is the most pressing duty right now, business and otherwise.

So I wrote, mostly rereading the existing manuscript, editing, trying to get back into the feel of the story and perhaps finally have insight into the plot issue that is preventing me from finishing the annoying thing. I have that unfortunate luxury as an unpublished writer still pretty much doing this for myself since no contract or demands exist. It’s time to finish it though. Then I may send it out for consideration. Or stash it and move on to the next project. I have to finish it though.

I also took a nap.  I haven't achieved a really good deep sleep in several days either, mostly from overstimulation, I think.  The nap helped but it wasn't as refreshing as I needed it to be.

I finally got to escape it by going out to dinner with JEM. Oh, kindred spirits are such a boon to life. We talked about life and current experiences. We are friends, wonderful blessing! My spinach cobb salad was pretty darn tasty, too.
