(no subject)
First of all, I would like to thank everyone on here that either posted comments to my last post or said something in person. It meant a lot. You all are great.
Had a good Thanksgiving vacation. Went out to Kansas and Oklahoma for the week. It was nice to go back there since I have not benn back in almost 2 years. Saw a bunch of family that I have not seen in a while. While we were there, some of us went a saw Elf. It was a little chessy but funny overall. The cool thing about going though was the theater itself. The aisles were deep enough that you could stretch out and not hit the chair in front of you. Also, each chair had two armrests with cup holders. The really cool part was the little red button on the left armrest. It called a waiter! Not just your normal movie fare, but also hamburgers, hotdogs, Papa John's pizza, dessert, and even beer (after 8pm). Literally a movie and a dinner. Now if I can just find someone to build something like that here.
On a more serious note, things at my parents house are still kinda weird. While people were there a couple weeks ago, one of my uncle stayed after everyone left and worked on the house trying to finish up some things my dad had been doing. He finished painted the outside and we painted the kitchen and rec room. Both rooms are mostly done and in disarry at the moment. Still have the surreal feeling about things and probably will for a while. Mom seems to be doing ok for now too. She and my grandmother (dad's mom) talked one night while we were out there last week.
Things at work are going ok. Have a deadline for a basic demo app 15 Jan for my project. Should not be a problem even though all the requirements are not in yet. Though I hope I get a second person on here when the real thing is to be started since it's just me right now for the java side of things. Of course, if the architecture I am supposed to use is as easy to use as the guys here say it is (and they made it so they should know) then I won't worry about it too much. Anywho, guess I will see when the time comes.
One last thing before I get back to work. I don't konw if it is my sinuses acting up (which they like to do a lot) or if I am getting sick, but my throat has been sore for a while and is really sore today. This sucks.
