OMG! Sheppard just quoted my favorite quote from The Princess Bride! The book, not the movie! I am so excited I actually just paused the show (thank you, DVR, my new dear friend) and turned on my computer JUST TO NOTE THIS. It's a great William Goldman line, "Life's not fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all." Great. Love it. When I was 13 in a fit of adolescence I wrote it on a Titanic poster. Don't know why it wasn't in the movie. Anyway, thank you SGA writers, that totally made my night. There was actual clapping and everything. Now I'm going to rewind and watch it again.
ETA: On rewatch (yes, I rewatched it, paused, and came back to the computer) John says it's from the movie. But I don't remember it in the movie. I remember reading the book and wondering why it wasn't in the movie. Curious. Obviously this means I now have to rewatch the movie. Like, now. Well, when the episode's over. (All my roommates are gone this weekend. I am VERY BORED and thus must make my own fun.) I really thought it wasn't in the movie, though... cause it's from that weird epilogue bit where he talks about the ending his father never read, where everything goes wrong. Anyway, back to show.
