Obviously, the Others are transporting Jack, Kate and Sawyer to another station on the island, "the triangle". This research facility was designed specifically to hold three subjects, all of exceedingly above average attractiveness, two male and one female, in a confined space for an unknown duration of time. What the observers of the subjects are unaware of, is yet another level of observers above them, whose purpose is to record the "observers's" growing desire to see this triad result in one of three possible monogomous pairings. The Dharma Initiative has devoted several millions of dollars to study this phenomenon known as a "shipping war." While several observers have occasionally tried for objectivity, Dharma findings so far have reported these individuals all eventually went crazy, scrawling "OT3!!!" across the pages of their reports, only to eventually be eaten by their fellow observers. A particular fierceness and predatory nature has been noticed among the "slashers," who feel an almost insane need to proclaim oppressive forces are keeping what they believe to be the inevitable "ship" from "sailing". (Note: these ships have nothing to do with acutal boats used as transport to and from the island, and, in most cases, do not in fact hold water.)
