Today marks the 25th anniversay of the tragic loss of one of the most beautiful people this earth has seen.
Today, 25 years ago, John Lennon was assasinated. I feel there is nothing i can say that would even come close to doing his greatness justice.
I sit here with tears in my eyes. Though i wasnt around when he was, i have come to know him through his music, and his actions. I think the thing that saddens me most is that if HE could see what our world was like today... he would be sad himself. All he stood for, all he wanted to change... is still happening.
"You may say that im a dreamer, but im not the only one"
No, youre not the only one.
Today of all days, should be a peaceful one. Love everyone... charish everyone. Not just for John, but for everyone.
And though he is gone, he hasnt really left us. His dreams and hopes still ring through his music that runs through so many of us. He is a hero to many.
So, today is for you John.
