(no subject)
Oh thank the Gods!! It's Friday.
After working 4 day weeks for a most of a month, that extra day is pretty killer isn't it!? Well, for me it is. This week was an emotional work roller coaster, and I'm quite pleased to have a couple of days off.
Today was actually a pretty great day though. I enjoy my co-workers so much most days. I know I talk about them a lot, but one must realize that I spend more time with them than anyone else really. They have somehow become a large part of my life. I'm not complaining, but it's weird.
Today Sam only had to work a few hours so most of the day it was just Rich and I. We actually got quite a ton of shit done. Cleaned up some of our records so that they will look nice for the last year and got our spreadsheets ready for next year. Thank you business classes in high school, otherwise it would have been much more complicated than it was.
At one point, we were on our way out to the front of the building to smoke and I walked past someone sitting waiting to interview. My jaw dropped and a part of me died inside.
Once we got outdoors, I couldn't hold it in. I looked at Sam and Rich and said
"Oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttt!!!"
To which they went
"What now?"
"I've SLEPT with him!!!!!!" I said.
"Haha..." they replied. Which I think is an unfair response.
I believe that my boss hired one of my ex boyfriends today. I know for a fact he's an ex, but I'm not sure that she hired him. ::sigh::
Fuck.
Oh well, I'm a big girl, I'll deal. I'm in a happy, committed relationship with a nice guy who I love very much, and I don't even really know why the situation bothers me. It's actually sort of funny.
I'm a tad disappointed. A friend of mine was suppose to come do my hair this weekend, but her ex didn't pick up the kids, so I can't. :( Oh well, it's not too bad yet, but the grey is getting pretty prominent. Need to dye that shit right out. I'm 25 but my hair is pretty sure I'm pushing 40. I hate it. It hates me...it's a fun relationship we have.
I've discovered a new band. Gogol Bordello. It's fun! I've made a Pandora station of them, and 'added variety' of The Young Dubliner's, so I'm in a fun place right now.
Going to finish My Booky Wook 2 tonight and start Afterlight tomorrow. Yay for a new reading year!
