(no subject)
i have to write my rehire letter for work. but i don't want to.
i'm so incredibly lazy.
i think i'm getting dumber. i sit on muni or BART for 30+ minutes each on the way to work, and nothing runs through my head. i either look at my shoes or look at where i'm sitting. i need to rest more. stupid senior project.
last night, i went to see the kronos quartet with tristan at the yerba buena center for the arts. i had high high expectations and i think they met them pretty well. there were some bizarre pieces that i didn't like too much. they did some piece using these poles (?) to create long, sustained sounds. from where i was sitting (which was literally the last row in the theater), the members of the quartet each had their own set of poles and they were waving their hands in front of it. in the background, a film clip was playing; the clip consisted of metal rods resembling incense sticks swaying. it was hyponotizing, and ultimately, very boring. the rest of their pieces were amazing. for their last piece, they played a piece by sigur ros which was supremely awesome. i don't think any of the individual members of the quartet were super outstanding by themself, but together in a quartet, they have this brilliant chemistry that i haven't seen in other quartets. it was genius.

does anyone want to go see pedro the lion with me on june 3rd?
