I am finally as happy as I think I can get for where I am in life.
Work is in order, home life is in order, finances are getting in order, now I need to tackle my weight and my schooling....always with those two.
Work is seriously kicking my butt. I haven't even had time to LOOK at LJ. I checked out once in the past week and that was from home. It's nice being promoted. They gave me an extra 1500 bucks in my last check as a recognition award thing. Which is cool, I'm sure they'll give me a nice raise when raise time comes around. I'm totally content with this place, but it's weird. The one woman who was up for the positions up where I am is being totally mean and nasty. She never says please or thank you. She even snaps her fingers at me when she's trying to gesture at something. She complaines about things I have to teach her to do. Because not only did they not give her the position, they actually took away from my old work and gave it to her. I had to train her for a few things and EVERY single thing I show her. She get's so b i t c h y and asks why she has to do this or that. Why doesn't the manager do that. Why doesn't so and so do that. Why should I do that. I feel like screaming at her and saying "THIS IS WHY YOU DIDN"T GET THE PROMOTION. YOU ARE A SELF ENTITLED LAZY BIOTCHES" It amazes me how some people can be so clueless as to who they are and how they look to others. I'm starting to get really pissed and hate her. A lot of folks are testing my boundaries here and pushing and being jerks.
I just feel like being all "nah, nah".
Kyle managed to snatch up the little sister of the little lady we had rescued a few weeks ago. She SO THIN and emaciated. She's got a knarly upper respiratory infection. Both her eyes were gooed shut and she is wheezing pretty badly. We started her on some meds (clavamox, it's like amoxicillin) and I also put some antibiotic ointment in her eyes. She's so sad and pathetic looking. Lahela thinks she might be too week to treat with flea treatment stuff, so she recommended I try to get her infection under control before I treat her with the flea stuff. Poor little mama, she would have surely died. Especially with winter around the corner...although, it doesn't seem to wintery 'round these parts right now.
Me, K, and George went up to the cottage this past weekend. We took my company tahoe up there with us for some off roading...we saw dear and foxes and moose! Dear's are so UNgraceful when they run. They look so dorky.
Poor georgy and his wifey are having marital problems. It's sad...he's such a nice guy. :o(
