Oh, Brad! *sigh*

Hello there,
Lots of stuff has been going on. The weather has been fab the last few days, and I didn't even turn my fan on last night, and still used a blanket. Yeah!

So, last Friday we (Scott, Steph, Mike, James, Andrea and I) went out for Scott's birthday. Ended up at Las Iguanas, a Mexican restaurant on Bloor where we got some pitchers and met up with Chris and all his random friends. Only slightly more exciting than the two hours of Arrested Development we watched prior to going out. So much junk food...

Saturday I worked and Mike, James and I watched Adventures in Babysitting, an awesome movie from our 80's childhoods. We laughed, we cried, it became a part of us. (The subject of this post refers to a quote from the movie, and not my new boss of the same name. That would be creepy.)

Sunday Mike and I left for our mini-break! We were off to Sauble Beach, on Lake Huron, where his parents rent a cottage every summer. It wasn't a romantic getaway, but almost a better one.. the free one! Yes, his parents were there, but they paid for everything, which rocked our socks off. Lots of restaurant food, mini-golf, fudge, fireworks, and beach! I got very burnt the first day, but it was worth it to jump in those waves. Also lots of showing off my new bikini to the only person who's allowed to see it, ie the Boyfriend. We built a sandcastle, frolicked in the lake and lounged in the cottage, played cards and a German board game with a scary name. I was so sad to return to the city. Though it was made better by the fact that I had a job interview, got a cheque with some tuition money from my dad and bought some fresh veggies and apples and onion rye from the Farmer's Market at City Hall.

Wednesday I got to come home from my training session for TIFF (Toronto film fest) to find out that Ashley was taking us (Scott, Steph, Mike and I)out to Sassafraz for drinks! Of course none of us had been there before, it being an uber-trendy and uber-expensive restaurant/bistro in Yorkville. We got fancy cocktails (mojito for me - my first) and a cheese plate. I still feel bad we let Ashley cover the 70$+ bill, but she insisted. It was a nice evening, we felt very fancy.

And now for some exciting news: I have just (as in, about 10 minutes ago via e-mail) been hired by Moozoo, a yogourt/smoothie/fro yo place in the Canadian Pacific Tower of the TD Centre, located at York and Wellington (basically University and King, at St Andrew station). It seems like a cool place, it just opened in April and it's originally from Montreal. James laughed at me when I told him I had an interview there, he being from Montreal and having heard of them. It's all made from scratch, natural, all that sort of stuff, and the interview was the most casual thing I've done. I'm very excited about getting to quit my current job at Research House, and not having to work evenings and weekends all year! (I won't mention the fact that I'll no doubt be working at 7am during the week and having evening courses the same day, probably)

Now I must go read my new Cosmo (guilty pleasure) before getting ready for work.
