i hear what you're getting at. a topic of mine as well. disliked for frankness and honesty. people here seem to want to hear nice things or no things. nod and smile and say something like "oh my god, you're so right!" bla bla. not my cuppa tea.

At this point I see the issue in very black and white terms; You can be a nice person, *blend in, be polite, like you said - nice or not at all*
-or- *you can be a good person. Stand up for your friends, and what you believe, own your voice and be truthful.* The purpose of this rant was to get me thinking about the shades of grey.
