I hit a wall today. Not literally, but emotionally. I have hated the house we live in currently since not long after we moved into it. Our estate agent is horrible. We have lived here since October and we have yet to receive the walk through paperwork to sign off on existing damage. I'm not pleased with the ballgown / dinner gown. I settled with the lace I used because I couldn't find what I wanted. It looks okay, but not wow. I was going with little adornment on the gown because a) the pattern in the damask is really beautiful and b) it is going to be a dinner gown not a ball gown (even though I am wearing it to a ball this ( Read more... )

Ballgown for next Saturday is nearly done. I didn't find a lace that I liked that was here in time so I used one that will do. I only basted it in as I will probably replace it at some point. I just purchased an antique Victorian seal skin muff (lined in silk and wool) for less than 20 pounds including postage!! That is less than $30 for the US folks! I was watching the auction so closely for the last few days waiting to see how high it would get. I am THRILLED!!! Now there is one more item which ends tonight.
