1. The smell of vinegar makes me sick to my stomach. Seriously. David and I sometimes have to move tables if people are putting a lot of malt vinegar on their chips nearby.
2. I have a weird thing about feet. Not a sexual thing, but I always notice people's shoes and feet. And I remember them too! David laughs at me because I can do "toe impersonations" of some celebrities who have some jacked up feet. I'm also a freaked out if my own feet aren't smooth and toes painted etc. Hmm... maybe I should have kept that to myself. lol
3. Both of my dogs were named after role playing characters that David and I played in an online game we played together before we were married.
4. I have about a gajillion candles. No really, I counted! Ball shaped, tall pillars, short pillars, tapers, tea, votives. Plain shapes, fancy shapes, glittery, etc. But I NEVER light any of them! Bizarre! I have vowed to change that in the new house. I will actually use the candles which smell so nice. Well... at least after the rooms stop being filled with cardboard boxes. No use tempting fate with a klutz like me around.
5. My first marriage ceremony took place in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. The husband was a jerk but the wedding was very cool. I always get people asking about that so I am thinking of doing a post about it. When we were moving, I found the wedding pictures too. If I am able to scan, I'll put those in there too.
6. My forefathers on my father's side go all the way back to the Mayflower. We are decended from Edward Doty who was always in court arguing with his neighbors. He also fought the first duel in the colony. That might explain a lot, huh? ;-)
7. We are running our first load in our new dryer tonight!! I couldn't be more thrilled. When we moved to the UK two years ago, we went to the store to buy a washer and dryer as well as a couple of other appliances. Because of space constraints, we decided to get a combo washer/dryer in order to be able to put a spare freezer into the space under the counter. We bought a really nice one (LG brand) because we wanted our clothes to be nice. These combo machines wash better than any washer I've ever seen. It sort of steam cleans the clothes... kinda. But the drying was rubbish. The clothes would look like you had balled them up while wet and then left them to dry like that. You seriously could NOT wear anything that came out of the dryer even if you took it out the moment it was done. And you couldn't throw something in there to take a few wrinkles out either. So... when we were preparing to move into this house, we bought a regular dryer. Yay!!! I can't believe how excited I am over an appliance. Yay for being able to throw a pair of jeans into it to take out the creases and make them warm! UPDATE: The dryer just beeped. OMG... the clothes are PERFECT!! Not a wrinkle in sight. Yessss!
8. I am addicted to Ribena. Actually, both David and I are addicted. We MUST always have it in the house. For those that don't know, it is blackcurrent juice and it is The Tasty! It sort of tastes like watered down grape... kinda. It is delicious. I also like the combo blackcurrent and cranberry juice flavor.
