Josh fell down the stairs and re-injured his bad knee last night. I only bring this up because it reminded me of the time we went to visit him in the hospital after he had surgery on that knee about 10 years ago.
He really wanted a cigarette, so we got him a wheelchair and you INSISTED on pushing it instead of letting him wheel himself. And then you proceeded to bump his bad leg into the door frame of his room, the wall outside his room, the elevator doors, the wall outside the elevator, the door to the smoking area, etc. LMAO. Oh God it was so funny. I mean, it wasn't funny then, because Josh nearly KILLED you, but looking back on it has put a smile on my face today.
You wouldn't let him wheel himself because he just has surgery, and yet you couldn't managed to push the damn chair without bumping him into stuff. Oh the irony. It was so typical YOU, though. Always trying to help and sort of messing everything up in the process. At least your intentions were always in the right place.
I'm glad I thought of this today, 11 months and one day after the day we lost you. Sometimes I get so caught up with how much it sucks that you aren't around that I forget how fun it was when you were around.
As always, I love and miss you.
