Franz Ferdinand would be excellent to see live, I'm jealous, very good choice for your first concert as well. Mine was Avril Lavigne in year 7 yet I don't count it because I went with my sister and father, so I count it the Garbage concert I saw in year 9 with my cousin as my first proper concert. ;P

Also, I really, really, really like the Red Riders, I have a few of their songs after discovering them through triple j about a year ago (like Slide in Next to Me, or In my Sleep). Lucky, you saw an excellent band perform with a decent support act. =P

I know exactly how you feel about Uni courses, I did an entry a few days after christmas (the 27th i think) about my future and how I am quite frankly unsure of exactly what I want to do in life. My advice, do what your gut is telling you to do, regardless, if media is what you want do, even if you know it's competetive. If you're really unsure, chose something which you can change/tranfer into another degree or course if you want.

Sometimes I hate it that our future is meant to be determined by the steps we're meant to take in choosing our courses. Bah, it's why I'm tranferring after I (hopefully) get into the course I want, I don't know if what I want to do right now is what I really want to do. (Wow, confusing or what). =P

Good luck though. =P
