I arrived in Yakima on the afternoon of the 17th. My
original flight out of Syracuse on the 16th was
canceled due to a maintenance problem. Fortunately we
were notified before we left Ft. Drum. The flight out
on the 17th was uneventful. My crew and I spent our
layovers geocaching throughout the terminals. What is
geocaching?
http://www.geocaching.com/ On this rotation my crew and I work on even days. We
work 24hrs on and 24hrs off. On Saturday we went to
Mt. Rainier. We ate lunch in paradise. Paradise, WA
that is. One of the guys on my crew wanted to locate
a geocache on Rainier so we went geocaching and had a
good time. I'm having Bethanie send my gold panning
gear out to me. I have the gold bug real bad. I
cannot believe I left NY without my prospecting gear.
Doooon't worry, I won't forget my friends and family
when I strike it rich. ;-)
Hi, I'm Nathan and I'm a gold-a-holic.
Our accommodations here are acceptable. I've got my
own room with cable and broadband. I got eight
brand-spanking-new Dell laptops for free just before
we left so we can each have a computer in our rooms.
Life is good and the scenery makes it even better. We
are scheduled to head back to NY on June 16th. Then
I'll have my hand full closing on and moving into our
new house. Fun, fun.
