Today on Life is fucked
Things had been so confusing lately. Sometimes Rachelle wished she could have a day. A day just to think about everything. How she was feeling, what she was doing, and why the hell she was just drifting through life. For some reason she had put up a wall and was sitting on the top of it, watching everyone, not moving, afraid to make a mistake. She felt so detached…like everything wasn’t making sense, but because it was happening so fast it seemed beyond her control. She was striving to get rid of any confusion or jealousy she felt towards Nate. Nothing ever seemed to feel right. She either felt completely confused. At some moments she just thought, “We’re amazing together. He’s awesome” and other times, after long days where all she needed was a hug she thought, “sometimes I just want to scream at him. He doesn’t try. I give a million percent and I only get 10%. What the hell?” Today was one of those days. Where she felt like it would all be better if Nate could just see. See what the hell he was doing to her. And suddenly there was an Ian. Ian was amazingly nice guy, he was sweet and she was attracted to him. And it seemed like there might be something there. Rachelle leaned against her bed and winced. No wonder people called her a drama queen. It did seem that way didn’t it? After searching everywhere for her hair ties (they had all been taken captive by Nate) she found one and piled her chestnut hair on top of her head in a complicated twist. ‘Screw this’ she sighed, and walked down the stairs and out the door. Her mom was gardening and looked up at her. She scooted over and laid down her shovel. “Tell me what’s up sweetie” she said. The invitation was enough. Rachelle began her long story.
Nate looked at the door for any signs that somebody was coming to open the door. He didn’t breathe for a couple of minutes. If someone opened the door then he wouldn’t be able to go to the party. And that would suck. What was better than hanging with your friends, drinking, dancing, and meeting hot chicks? Assured that no one was going to blow this night for him he eased out of the window. The night air was cool against his face as he walked through the woods towards Patrick’s house. He got there and was met by Patrick’s sister. “I thought you were groundddddeeedddddd….” He snapped her hairband off her head and kept walking. The party was going to be kickass. And no one, no one was going to ruin it for. “Patrick…let’s go. Right now.”
