Thank you for the virtual milk & cookies!!
;-)

I have not had real cookies in 5 or 6 weeks, now. But the diet has been productive: so far I have lost 15 pounds!!! YAY!!!

I have cut virtually all bread/wheat products out of my diet, along with soda, Gatorade, any fruit juices with HFCS, candy, cookies and deep-fried foods.
I have cut down on portion size, cut back on pasta and rice, cut out all McDonald's/Burger King/Wendy's, and have been eating more fruits and veggies. Several times a week I make a dinner of stir-fry vegetables with a small ammount of stir-fried beef/chicken/pork added.

The best part is that I feel better and healthier already!!

I hope you get over your non-flying jet lag quickly!! A few days of getting to bed on time should fix it.

*hugs*

P.S. I need to do a real LJ update soon, but probably won't get time for it this weekend. I am opening up the camp on Saturday, and working on Sunday.

WOW! Sounds like you are doing great! 15 pounds is no small beans. I'm very proud of you!

I like doing the stir-fried veggies with a small amount of meat too. I have found that to be the most effective thing. I've been just cutting back on my overall food. I finally broke past the 5 pounds down yo-yo, and am now in the 5-10 pounds down yo-yo.

Soft drinks can be a real killer for me. I try to stick to hot tea and I've begun drinking water or unsweet coffee/tea almost exclusively. If I don't do that, then nothing else I do works.

And yes, it's nearly impossible to eat any fast food and lose weight. I've been ordering more salads when I go out and just dipping the fork in the dressing.
