Stopping for breath....

It's been a crazy few weeks since I last posted. The past week I'd been so busy that my sleep schedule got turned on it's head.

I had stayed up most of the night baking for an event last Wednesday night, and only got an hour sleep (instead of 3) because I was called into work 2.5 hours early (we had a break-in) and ended up working 16 hours and missing the event that night.

That started a domino effect - I had a pretty full schedule already, and everything got behind. I stayed up late Friday night trying to pull some stuff together for an SCA event, so not much sleep then. When I got back home Saturday night I slept until Noon.

Sunday night I stayed up until 8am Monday making 2 quilt squares and slept most of Monday morning and managed to get about 4 hours of sleep before getting them to city hall (it was for a community association quilt) well before the 4pm deadline.

Last night was the first night I'd been to bed before midnight in about a week it seems. I had to consciously wind myself down but I managed to fall asleep in a reasonable time and once I did I slept very very well. I don't feel as bad as I did, but I'm still tired.

If I can get to bed early for the next three days I think that will have me fully on a day schedule again.

I wonder if this is what jet lag feels like?

sleep, time, scheduling
