Dree grinned as the car sputtered along the track. Next to her, little Charlie was holding on to the steering wheel with a death grip, shrieking with glee as he drove like a big boy. On either side of them, the tracks held similar cars, with Charlie's brothers. In the car directly behind them, Charlie's oldest brothers were trying to catch up, but he couldn't hear them shouting over the engine.
"Geh Da-yee!" Charlie hollered, letting go of the wheel as he pointed to his father, in the car with his brother, James.
Dree made a face and she reached for the steering wheel and tried to keep the car straight, before it bounced off the railing and jerked them. Once she had the car under control, Dree put an arm around Charlie, so that he wouldn't manage to climb out of the car as Garrett and James' car slowed.
On their other side, the car holding TJ and El pulled up next to them and TJ hollered at her. "Hey! Keep d'ivin'! We lose!" El glanced at Garrett and Dree and shrugged, then pressed her foot down on the gas pedal.
Dree was glad she had a hold on Charlie as their car jerked forward. Glancing over her shoulder, she could see Max and Tyler laughing hysterically.
"Go, Mommy! Go!" Max yelled, waving for them to keep going. Dree nodded and pressed down on the gas, and the car started moving.
A moment later, Rebecca and Leora rolled past them, following the same track as El and TJ.
