"Whatever you say, Stark," Emily shook her head. She noticed her companion had stopped moving, which caused her to look up from the mess in her lap. "What?" she asked, shaking her head in confusion.

"Why did you call me 'Stark'?" Tony asked.

Emily's eyes narrowed. "Because your name is Tony," she replied, lifting one of the slices of caramel apple to her mouth and taking a bite. "And your last name," she mumbled around the chewing, "is Jarvis." Tony's eyes narrowed, which caused her eyebrows to go up. "You're not a comic book reader, are you?" Emily deduced.

Tony shook his head.

"Iron Man," Emily said, moving the wax paper from her lap to the bench so she could turn to face her date. "Tony Stark?" she offered. Tony's expression didn't change. "He's one of the Avengers? With Captain America..." she said slowly. "The Hulk?"

"Oh, Bill Bixby. I know the Hulk," Tony nodded, leaning back and resting his arms on the back of the bench. "Never make him angry," he said proudly.

"Yeah," Emily nodded. "Him."

"So what does my last name have to do with a friend of the Hulk?" Tony asked, glancing at the remainder of the caramel apple before reaching for one of the slices.

"Stark's computer is named Jarvis," Emily explained. "Tony. Jarvis. Stark," she repeated, waving slightly toward him. "You know the Hulk, but not the Avengers?" she added a moment later, disbelief clearly written on her face. "Spiderman?" she offered.

"I know Spiderman," Tony nodded again, licking some stray caramel off his fingers. "And Superman. Oh, and Batman. How do you know comics?" Tony asked, looking at Emily.

"Four older brothers," Emily replied with a forced smile. "Two like Marvel and two like DC. So I had to know both."

Tony smiled again. "But you didn't really want to?" he assumed.

"No," Emily said, shaking her head. "I preferred Archie."

"Oh, Betty and Veronica," Tony mused. "Still haven't decided which one I'd rather marry."

Emily just shook her head. "Oh, they'll love you," she muttered, glancing away from him.

Two brothers wanted Betty, and two wanted Veronica.
