I thought this was interesting. I buy King Arthur Flour which says "Never Bromated" on the package, but I didn't really know what that meant until I read this article. It said, "Potassium bromate is rare, but still legal in the U.S.... California requires a cancer warning on the product label if Potassium bromate is an ingredient." Yikes!
