We've been cooking dinner/eating from the garden a little more lately.

Thursday
Spaghetti with organic tomato sauce (Sauce was from a jar but I added garlic and spices)
Spinach Salad from the garden!
Whole Wheat Garlic Toast (Pre-made bread but I made it into garlic toast with butter, garlic, salt and fresh rosemary)
Sweet Coconut Chai Tea

Sunday
Grass Fed Bison Burgers
Homemade Wheat Buns
Romaine Salad from the garden!
Fruit Granita
Beer  :D

Monday
I was at work but Mike made a fruit drink with:
Lemon
Lime
Orange
Kiwi
Mango
Guava
And a Fifth of Captain Morgan! (LOL)

Tuesday
Oven Baked "Fried" Chicken
Cooked Honey Glazed Carrots (Unfortunately not from my garden.  I'm so impatient for mine to get ready!)
(I'm going to have to post the recipes for these, they were so good!)

Otherwise not too much going on.  My spinach is done; it bolted so I harvested the rest and am going to plant Swiss Chard in its place.  We have eaten 3 of the Romaine lettuces, but there are still several more.  I guess when it's gone I'll start new carrots.  I saw how awesome Amanda's Giant Marigold was so I decided to get a new seed packet for myself.  My first Giant Marigold seedlings all got eaten by the dog!  I think I am going to plant them and the wildflower mix I bought in with the sunflowers.  I think the sunflowers can stand the competition, since they are in such a rich mix of soil.  Hopefully I will have a gorgeous cutting garden later this summer!

The chickens are doing well, and getting bigger every day.  I can't wait until we get their coop done and they are old enough to go outside.  I feel bad for them being in that container with nothing to do.  Of course we go in with them and pet them, but I still feel bad.

My puppy will be one year old on June 6th!  I bought part of his birthday present today: another stuffed duck we shall call Mr. Quackers 2.  I also printed out the recipe for the doggie birthday cupcakes and bought Frosty Paws ice cream for Charlie and the fellas.  I know he'll have fun with the other dogs even if they don't have fun with him, lol.  (My dog is big and somewhat hyper, and my friends' dogs are small and turdly.)  I'm gonna make 6 dog cupcakes and 6 people cupcakes.  Yay!

Oh, speaking of which, Mike informed me today that HELLO KITTY was appointed as the Ambassador of Japan.  My response of course was "Yay!"
