i bought that movie today (the unrated version!)- it is soooooo filthy.....I fucking love it. I would venture to say it probably has the most attractive cast- like ever. Michael Pitt- how I love thee- though your eyes are too close together, beautiful babies we could make.....sigh. Ok- enough on that fucking tangent.
2 days ago i tried out for this band- called the art of shooting--- you can find them on myspace, if curious. It went well....but they really want me to buy a bass rig. That is a heavy investment, my friends....I have always, ALWAYS played through a solid state guitar amp and never EVER had a problem with it, EVER! I was mildly offended... that is a large investment- probably at least 800 bucks i am thinking- and for something that isn't a sure thing...hmmm. I mean it did go really well, mind you- and they said they really liked my playing- "very Joy Division-y"--direct quote---which i found to be very flattering...but i fucking like the way my bass sounds through a guitar amp- and it has never caused any problems in the past.
I want to see that movie "the hills have eyes " before week's end.
