I realize that these types of interviews are not fair or objective.  I could go out onto the street in any country and ask people questions and expect that some of them will give me stupid answers.  The reality is - people all over the world are stupid and self-centered.  That being said, some of these American morons deserve an award for the sheer ( Read more... )

Probably not.

This shit is embedded so deep in my psyche that I imagine it as a sort of keystone that holds my entire personality together.  As odd and disturbing as that is, other children of the 70's will undoubtedly recall this:

The full version of that Gears of War spot that I loved so much.

It would have been easy to imagine that the video for Daft Punk's song "Technologic" might have been funny or cute or something.

Instead, it's something ... else.

Children of Men broke my mind.  The film is amazing and I would recommend people watch it - but it might break your mind too.  While there isn't necessarily more violence in this movie than others, the haunting truth and straightforward reality of the violence is really what did me in.  Watch it. 5/5

I'm fond of how old this video feels.  I remember hanging out for hours in my friend Darrell's parent's basement waiting to catch this on Much Music, then waiting to catch it again when they recycled their 8 hours of daily footage.  (and possibly even waiting a 3rd time).  Edge's black wife-beater is especially spiffy.
