This weekend, I've rocked the house with immense power. Between Guitar Hero 1 and 2, there have been more than 10 hours of Guitar Hero since Friday night. And it was good. I can't recommend this game enough to EVERYONE. Even if you aren't normally a huge wailing rock fan, you will still have a blast with both of these games.
If you've been watching TV in the past week or so, you've almost certainly seen this most excellent commercial for Gears of War. If you are wondering, the music is a song by artist Gary Jules called "Mad World". I must say, I have a soft spot for light, poignant style music juxtaposed with dark, brooding images and I think you'll agree that this commercial pulls it off very well.
Makes me want to run out and buy my copy. Quite frankly, I'm surprised I didn't pick it up this weekend. But I knew there would be much Guitar Hero action to be had so I valiantly resisted the urge.
In the background, I'm installing Medieval 2: Total War. I played the demo and found it awfully similar to the first Medieval game. Not that the first one was bad - quite the contrary. But it's been done. Hopefully the full game will have more to offer.
