I was accepted in to phase 2 of the
RF Online closed beta. I'm downloading the client now. It's another
Codemaster's game and I'm hoping it's a bit more impressive than Stormreach has turned out to be so far. I'm admittedly excited about RF Online simply because it features anime mecha.
Last night was a bit of a BF2 fiasco.
Kevin just finished putting together his shiny new Athlon 64 system and proceeded to have no end of trouble getting the game running and meeting me on a server. Poor guy. All that
power and nowhere to use it. In the mean time, though, I scored a couple of gold stars and had an overall kickass session on an all Karkand server.
In other gaming news, the Battle for Middle Earth 2 demo has been a bitch to download. I'm assuming, from the screens, that it'll be worth the headache. If anyone is interested you can get a torrent from
this page.
Did anyone else notice that the
Penny Arcde CCG was released? It was designed by Sabertooth Games, the same folks that brought us the
Warhammer 40k CCG, which was decent. Now the question is - how long until Think Geek has stock again?!!
