Live from Castro country....

My insane travels will land me in Wiarton this weekend.  Actually, I'll be leaving in a few hours.  I've never been there, but it looks like a long way on the map.  I believe Google when it tells me that it's 3+ hours.  Now, most people would probably make some assumptions about why I'm going to Wiarton on this particular weekend.  But I assure you, it's not rodent-related.  Exactly the opposite, actually - I'm going for a poker tournament.  And to be clear - no, I don't really know how to play poker.  But I'm willing to give 'er a shot.  The old college try, as it were.

My friend Kevin (who is also going to Wiarton) got a delicious shipment of new computer parts today.  This makes me envious.  After playing some more BF2 last night, I'm really aware of how badly my system needs an upgrade.  The 5900 Ultra just isn't cutting it 2 years later.  And my old Athlon chip needs to be retired.  It's done a long tour and it deserves a rest.  But alas, there will be no upgrade for me this budget year.  We bought the camera and are very happy with it, but it was a one-or-the-other type of scenario and we needed the camera for traveling.

I'm still a little on the sick side.  Still hacking a bit here and there.  Dry throat.  That sort of thing.  Nothing a few (dozen) drinks can't cure.

And, for the record, I would definitely qualify Angelina Jolie as "A Dame to Kill For".  And as if that wasn't good enough, dead fandoms rise again and live forever!
