BTW, one of your italicized words (It was a military vessel as the officer had stated. And as such, should not have a young boy as a passenger.) needs the first slash taken out. I don't know if someone's already told you.

Thanks for pointing out the italicized word mistake, I knew there had to be a few mistakes scattered about in it since I didn't go over it as carefully as I usually would. I'd wanted to get it posted before I literally fell asleep on top of the computer.

Poor Luke, lonely and bored. And now his father is treating him like an eight year old to protect. I can't see that really working.
Next chapter soon please.

I'm glad you liked the new characters. As I told someone else, I usually don't make up any new characters when I write fanfiction, unless it's for very small parts, so I was hesitant about it at first but they kind of wrote themselves. You know with everything so rushed in the Star Wars films, we never got to see any of the regular day-to-day things that the characters were involved in and people they interacted with.
I can't see Luke sitting still too much longer either. But I think in a way, though he may not be able to admit it yet, he enjoys being under his father's protection. And sometimes he may act like a child...after all, he was denied any contact with his father growing up so there may be all kinds of childish thoughts and feelings and reactions trickling out.

I'm glad you like the boy too. There will be more interaction in a later chapter between him and Luke. Luke's not really that much older that they can't connect with each other a little...that is, if the boy ever learns Luke could be a friend and not an enemy.

I think Luke likes his father's protectiveness too. And, like most children, wants his father's attention but is too proud to let that be known yet.
