The Red Hot Chili Peppers are summer.

Recently.

On Saturday I met Jake in downtown Howell, the hot new hangout. We visited fun shops, ate good food, and saw The Ring 2 @ the cheap theater which I must add is the best theatre around. When I walked into the movie, my phone automatically switched to mannor mode/vibrate. It was exciting. We managed to squeeze ourselves into one of the world's smallest Clark gas station huts ever to get candy before the show. We are also officially cursed by the holy spirit. We went into a cafe planning on eating (this cafe was decked out in "Jesus gear"), so we got menus. Our cheapness got the best of us, and we realized 6 dollars for a meal was too much. We decided to make a go for it. Incidentally, I had to make a phone call so I step outside. Jake comes out and says "Run!" Apparently he told the guy we would be right back. We got to Jake's car and stalled as we made a cd selection for the ride to my car. Out of nowhere the guy walks by Jake's van, gives us a glare and disapears into the alley. That night I went to the Easter Vigil mass with my Dad and brother. It was really nice. It is my favorite mass of the year. I love the big fire and all of the music and candles inside. After mass, we went to Big Boy at 11 pm and I got a slice of cherry pie and coffee. It was delicious. I came home and watched none other than AMELIE.

Sunday was almost as exciting. The easter bunny came to my house!! Later, I bought an annual pass to Kensington park and went running for the first time there in awhile. It was nice. I plan to go on a regular basis to work my way back up to my much enjoyed 8 mile runs in the summer. My goal is to run in the half-marathon in Kentucky this year. I also started painting on my canvas. I have yet to do much but the fact that I got started is enough to smile about. When I came home from the park, I played a game of around the world with my dad and brother. It is one of my top 5 things to do in the summer. I came, I played, I won. Then we got the four-wheelers out. My brother and I rode for a little bit. It already feels like summer. Riding around with the windows down. Shorts. Sun. I went to Olive Garden that night and it was too good. I have decided it is one of my favorite restaurants next to anything chinese. After that I rented a movie called The United States of Leland. It started depressing and ended depressing, but an upbeat kind of sad. Hm.

Today I got my hair done. And I am going to downtown howell later to buy a crazy purse and a retro hat. For now, I am going to take advantage of the weather and go on a bike ride. :)

Pssst, I miss you. Mexico. <3
