I read a book today called Blankets by Craig Thompson. It is an illustrated novel that carries on for 582 pages. I found it quite simple, yet achingly beautiful. It is told in narrative form, a highly charged personal encounter crammed with pain, discovery, hijinx, penance, religious conviction and its loss, and along comes self loathing.
(How satisfying it is to leave a mark on a blank surface. To make a map of my movement--no matter how temporary)
Rilo Kiley-Wednesday, May 18 @ St. Andrews
Tickets are open to the public on Saturday at 10:00 am. As of right now, I have no money and my parents are not fond of the idea considering I am already going to a concert on April 5 to see The Album Leaf. I would much rather see Rilo Kiley, over many, mand bands. This must be worked out.
