The thing to keep in mind is that LiveJournal users are not really your target audience; Those other users are essentially other Blogs. I posted in the second_lifers community to see who was still around and I got, so far, 3 replies. That's out of 859 or so members of that community. I don't know if those users no longer access Livejournal anymore or don't read the community, or simply are not interested. I believe it is mostly because they don't access LJ anymore.
