New layout! New Year! Etc.
New layout by milou_veronica. Merlin, to reflect my current obsession. It also has the approval of gekidasa, who hates most of my usual LJ layouts because they resemble wallpaper. \:D/
Also on the Merlin front, I have started writing fic for it, which is probably the clearest sign of impending obsession there is. I have one currently in progress - considered it done for about five minutes earlier today, but have now decided to add more to it. Note to gekidasa: I have not added more YET but I am PLANNING to.
I went to bed early on New Year's Eve because I am a sad person and the hot chocolate I drank to warm up didn't sit too well. I also wasn't really in the mood to celebrate - when I return to work on Monday, we're all being cut to four day weeks. This, of course, means 20% less money, which makes money extremely tight for me. It also means that I need to start looking for a new job in case the company doesn't manage to make it through this economy, which is a distinct possibility.
I've been looking around, but there doesn't seem to be much. No surprise there.
So for now I'm looking as much as I can, but also trying not to dwell on it, because there's not much I can do. Instead, I will concentrate on actually doing some original writing + very pretty BBC actors in some facsimile of medieval costumes.
