i have all sorts of stuff to write on and reflect on. im really glad i went to the MAR converence instead of the NE one (that is the nid-atlantic regional vs. the new england regional). those new englanders can be such snobs, its nice to interact with other parts of the country for a change.
the dynamic of these conferences alwasy cracks me up. they are usually 90% female with about 60% of them middle aged suburban white women that appear to be throw backs from the 60's.
whoa.... the wind/rain sounds like it is trying to find its way into my bedroom. and when the rain really blows.... the house shakes. not my idea of a good time, but well i dont think i was consulted on the matter.
atleast i beat the bad weather home. i was afraid i was going to be lost on the highway system of NYC for ever. i only had to turn around twice before i decided to go all the way back to the hotel for directions. and they say that RI ppl are bad drivers... holy shit. nyc ppl are crazy.
the hotel was real fancy. made the one we stayed at for the december FLea look like a roach motel. im talkin mints on the pillows, a ny times on the door step ever morning, door guys that are always smiling, they brought us fresh towls everyday, even when we hung them up, and they kept folding my cloths and organizing my stuff. and the "paper" towls in the bathroom felt like cloth napkins and everything was so nice and clean......i know i should like i dont get out much. but it was a very very fancy place, and i prolly wont ever go to a place like that again unless its for another of those converences.
